HP Josef Rutz

Profile

Hanspeter Josef was born 1960 in Switzerland. His education as salesman in consumer electronis lead him to the photography. He purchased his first camera at age 15 a Topcon Super D SLR including a Topcon 58mm f/3.5 Macro lens and then progressing through the Nikon system ultimately ending up 1984 with the Nikon F3 and several Nikkor lenses. Hanspeter Josef began shooting flowers, plants and closeups as his primary focus. While predominantly self-taught, guidance from books, friends and professional photographers helped fine tune his efforts.

In 1986 he switched to Minolta cameras starting with the first pro-featured auto-focus SLR, the Minolta 9000 followed by the Minolta 7000i, 700si, 9 and 7D. A longtime darkroom nut, these days he is most interested in the digital darkroom, enjoying working on his computer and printer. Hanspeter Josef's photographs have appeared in various media including calendars, postcards, local publications and exhibitions.
